Persis Solo coach , Milomir Seslija, feels challenged to achieve victory even though he has to lose many important pillars when he meets Persija Jakarta in the match week 31 of BRI Liga 1 2023/2024.
Ahead of the duel which took place at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Senayan, Wednesday (17/4/2024), Persis Solo has valuable capital. They have swept their last four matches with wins.
Milomir Seslija hopes that Laskar Sambernyawa will be able to continue this positive record. However, Persis Solo also has to remain alert because the Kemayoran Tigers are not an easy team to beat.
“New match, new motivation. Before Ramadan, we had a positive trend. We want to continue that record. “We are challenged and motivated to become a better team,” said Milomir Seslija in a press conference session, Tuesday (16/4/2024).
“ Persija Jakarta is a team that always has good player material. They have quality young players. The coaching staff is great too. “I’m sure this will be an interesting match,” he continued.
Four Players Absent
Persis’ ambition to steal three points is quite challenging. Because, there are many mainstay players who have to be absent. Three of them are key players on the front line, namely Ramadhan Sananta, Moussa Sidibe and Althaf Indie.
The first two names are mainstay goal machines. Sidibe has so far contributed 11 goals, while Sananta has scored eight goals. Meanwhile, Althaf has scored two goals and two assists in the last six matches.
“Like the previous match, there were several of our players who had to be absent. In previous matches, sometimes there were seven, six or five players who couldn’t play. “This time, there are four absent,” he said.
“Ramadan Sananta is on duty with the national team. He was also banned from playing due to card accumulation. Althaf Indie was also affected by accumulation. Meanwhile, Sidibe had to return to Spain to accompany his wife who was giving birth,” he continued.
Host Hit by Trouble
Persija also experienced a situation that was not much different. They had to lose five players who served with the U-23 Indonesian National Team, namely Rizky Ridho, Muhammad Ferrari, Ilham Rio Fahmi, Dony Tri Pamungkas, and Rayhan Hanan.
However, Milo doesn’t want his foster children to be lulled by this advantage. Because, conditions like this actually position their team in a camp that is under pressure to be able to secure victory.
“15 players are actually enough, even 13 players are enough. This situation is quite complicated because many Persija players have joined the U-23 National Team. However, this is also quite a dilemma,” he said.
“This situation actually puts us under pressure. “Because, we seem to be in a better and stronger position, so we are favored to win this match,” he added.
Challenged to Win
Meanwhile, Persis Solo defender, Eky Taufik, confirmed that his team was ready to fight against the Capital City team. Eky emphasized that Laskar Sambernyawa is motivated to continue its positive trend in BRI Liga 1.
“In preparation for tomorrow night against Persija Jakarta, we have a lot of time to prepare ourselves. We want to continue the positive trend we have achieved recently. “Hopefully we can achieve positive results against Persija,” said Eky.
