Persib Bandung only gets a short holiday on Idul Fitri 2024 because they have to prepare to return to action in BRI Liga 1 2023/2024. Even though they only faced Persita Tangerang in the closest match, Bojan Hodak didn’t want Persib to underestimate the opposing team.
Persib Bandung will face Persita Tangerang in the 31st match of BRI Liga 1 2023/2024 at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Monday (15/4/2024) afternoon.
Persib has started preparations because it does not want to underestimate Persita, which is currently far adrift in the BRI Liga 1 standings.
Persib Bandung is in second place in the 2023/2024 BRI League standings with 55 points from 30 matches. Meanwhile, Persita Tangerang is 24 points behind and is ranked 15th with 31 points.
Persija will be motivated
Bojan Hodak believes that Persita Tangerang has a good and quality composition of players, with a new coach from Chile, Luis Edmundo. The presence of this new coach certainly adds motivation for Laskar Cisadane.
“You can see that Persita has good players, so I don’t understand what happened to them. I don’t know why they are in this position now,” explained Bojan Hodak.
“However, of course they are a dangerous team. Now they have brought in a new coach and of course the players will do their best to show the coach that they deserve to be in the first 11 player positions,” continued the Persib Bandung coach.
Could Be a Surprise
Bojan admitted that the presence of a new coach on a team is sometimes good for creating surprises. Of course, that will make the match difficult for Persib Bandung .
“However, what should we do? We have to try to get positive results because we want to be able to secure the top four positions as quickly as possible,” said the coach from Croatia.
Adapt a Little More
The former PSM Makassar coach admitted that he was quite happy because BRI Liga 1 could now run normally again and be held in the afternoon. However, of course the players need to adapt to the changes, but Bojan Hodak admits there are no problems.
“Of course it’s normal for players to adapt for a few days with afternoon training. Everything will be fine,” he stressed.
