Chelsea Re-sign Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid

Premier League club Chelsea officially announced their latest transfer. The Blues officially secured the services of Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid.

Felix is ​​no stranger to Chelsea. The Portuguese international spent six months with the Blues on loan from Atletico Madrid in January 2023.

But in the 2023/2024 season yesterday, Felix did not play at Chelsea. He was loaned by Atletico Madrid to Barcelona.

But Felix finally returned to Chelsea. Today, Wednesday (21/8/2024), Felix officially became part of The Blues again.

Official Announcement

Through their official website, Chelsea officially announced that Felix has joined their team for the second time. However, this time the transfer is permanent.

“Chelsea are delighted to announce the permanent signing of Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid,” Chelsea’s official statement read.

“Joao, a proven Portuguese international striker, has signed a seven-year contract at Stamford Bridge and will begin training with his team-mates immediately.”

Feeling Happy

Felix himself feels happy to be able to rejoin Chelsea. He promised to give his best so that The Blues can achieve again.

“I’m really happy to be back at Chelsea and I can’t wait to get started again at the club. I can see some familiar faces from when I first came here, which is nice,” said Felix.

“I have really enjoyed my time at the club and I have told my team-mates and my family that I would like to return to the Premier League one day. To be able to do that with Chelsea is something amazing and I am excited to be back,” he concluded.

Transfer Fee

According to rumors, Chelsea will have to spend a large amount of money to recruit Felix.

The Blues reportedly have to pay more than 50 million Euros to be able to bring the youngster from Atletico Madrid.
