Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti is also concerned about the injury suffered by Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen. Ancelotti also prayed for Ter Stegen to recover quickly.

Ter Stegen appeared as a starter when Barcelona met Villarreal in the sixth week of La Liga 2024/2025 at La Ceramica, Sunday (09/22/2024). Blaugrana managed to win by a landslide with a score of 1-5.

But in the 45th minute, Ter Stegen suffered an injury and looked in great pain. He was then taken off and replaced by Inaki Pena.

Ter Stegen is known to have damaged the patellar tendon in his right knee. He has undergone surgery and could be out until the end of the 2024/2025 season.

Ancelotti’s Prayer

Ancelotti expressed his concern over Ter Stegen’s injury and hoped the German goalkeeper would recover soon.

“I am very sad when big players are injured. It happened yesterday to Ter Stegen, one of the best goalkeepers in the world,” Ancelotti told the club’s official website.

“Hopefully he can be fit again as soon as possible. We can’t do much at the moment because the schedule is set for the season, but the football world has to think.”
