MU Targets Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui at the Same Time, Bayern Munich CEO Finally Speaks Out

Not long ago, Manchester United offer for Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui was rejected by Bayern Munich . According to them, the offer submitted by the Red Devils was still too low.

Erik ten Hag has been dealt a major blow after £52m signing Leny Yoro was ruled out for three months with a broken leg.

Yoro’s injury means United will start the season short of a centre-back following the departure of Raphael Varane in the summer transfer window.

Man United have been in intensive talks with Bayern for De Ligt, but they have refused to meet the German club’s 50 million euro demand.

Tough Negotiations

Meanwhile, Man United have also agreed personal terms with Mazraoui but are yet to reach an agreement with Bayern Munich over a fee.

West Ham have agreed a deal worth €15.5m plus €4m in add-ons with Bayern, but Mazraoui has rejected a move and is waiting for an agreement with Man United.

MU Gets Green Light, As Long As…

According to The Athletic, Man United have now made a move to sign both De Ligt and Mazraoui at once by submitting a joint bid to Bayern.

However, the report claims that Bayern have told Man United they will have to bid higher fees to sign the pair this summer.

“Buying and selling are part of the same business, we don’t just want to sell players this year,” said Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen.

“Nothing has been different in the last few years. If you look at what we have done in the last few years, we have also sold players.

“That’s part of our business, because ultimately you always want to freshen up the team.”

Please Leave

It is claimed that De Ligt and Mazraoui’s camp, represented by Rafaela Pimenta, were confused by Bayern’s response to Man United’s offer.

Bayern have finally informed De Ligt and Mazraoui that they are not part of Vincent Kompany’s plans for next season.

“And that means we have to sell players, because otherwise the new players won’t get a chance to play and the young players won’t get a chance either,” Dreesen added.

“We still have a whole month of transfers and things will happen.”
