Having an Incredible History, the Reason Federico Chiesa Didn’t Think Twice About Joining Liverpool

Federico Chiesa has been open about his move to Liverpool . He admitted that he did not think twice about joining The Reds this summer.

Since the summer transfer window opened, Chiesa has been actively looking for a new club. This is because he was asked by Thiago Motta to leave because the winger was not included in the coach’s plans in Turin.

After being linked with a number of top teams, Chiesa has finally found his new career port. He has officially become part of the top English club, Liverpool.

Chiesa admitted he was relieved to be the Reds’ new player. “I am very happy to be a Liverpool player,” Chiesa said on Liverpool’s official website.

Don’t Think Twice

Furthermore, Chiesa said that his transfer process to Liverpool was quick. He did not think twice when The Reds asked him to join Anfield.

“When Richard Hughes (Liverpool’s sporting director) called me, he asked me ‘Do you want to join Liverpool?’ and then after that the coach called me too,” Chiesa continued.

“I said ‘yes’ straight away because I know the history of this club. I know exactly what it means to be a player for this club in front of the fans.”

Want to Play Quickly

With the transfer complete, Chiesa hopes he won’t have to wait long for his Liverpool debut.

He hopes Arne Slot can play soon because he can’t wait to be part of The Reds.

“I am really happy with this transfer and I can’t wait to get started at this club,” concluded the winger.

Back number

Liverpool have also confirmed what shirt number Chiesa will wear in the Reds squad.

He will wear the number 14 shirt, which was unoccupied after Jordan Henderson left in 2023.
